Painting & designing the House of Design!

 

 Since our last blog there has been plenty of action in The House of Booshie! A solid 2 weeks of stripping old paint from walls, cleaning years of dust and dirt where our lil House of Design had been abandoned and unloved :( 

A splash of pink paint and the house is looking more perky and bright........ There is still masses of dirt & dust but slight progress has been made yay!! 

 

The chandelier is a new addition in the house an antique flying dragons and elaborate long tailed fish stem from its almost art deco body is pleasing to the eye. We really wanted each piece of furniture & its fittings to be antique and unique, each piece telling a story to be told in future blogs :) 

 

So after the splash of pink came the turquoise! A bold contrast? indeed! Being a House of Design a mix & blend of bold colours, vast textures and odd mixes should be encouraged ;) 

 

This gorgeous retro piece was also painted turquoise to match the interior and to breathe life back into its dreary cream existence and will display wonderful and unique hand crafted pieces of beautiful accessories. 

 

These plaster angels fit perfectly in the house, although pink now they will be a vibrant explosion of colour! 

 

 

 The House of Booshie is finally coming together, the colours and decor combine perfectly and the house feels loved and alive yet again! :)

 

Spray painted white clouds and heart shaped hot pink flowers were hand painted on the pink walls....

 

Now is the time to start adding carefully selected pieces to display in The House of Booshie, this Italian antique candle stick holder is divine and again tells a story of days gone by.............

 

With all the pieces combined the house is looking fresh and ready to showcase new handcrafted designs from up and coming artists and designers from around the world!

 

Recycle & re-use!! This old cupboard has been splashed with pink paint to be used as a display counter! ;) 

 

Along with this old iron bed post, which displays bags perfectly! 

 

The House of Booshie has been cleaned, painted & pampered making a vast space for artistic yummy-ness! 

 

By night our lil house looks charming and almost magical :)
